Come and Whine

June 12, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Come and Whine

Sold Out!

Join us for an outdoor evening of our favorite things: wine, music, stories, and support for West Windsor Arts!

Storytelling is as old as the hills but couldn’t be more relevant in today’s world of online everything.  Stories help us make connections with others, unite us through compassion and acceptance, and build our understanding of the world we live in.

If you have never been to a storytelling event, or a StorySLAM, here is what is in store for you:  We will start with some music and wine tasting. This is always a great way to start an evening.

Karl Dentino and the Ragtime Relics will perform a selection of American roots music including ragtime, blues, jazz, country and swing – featuring some of America’s most memorable songs from the early 20th Century.

Mikel Cirkus, artist and avid wine enthusiast, will guide us as we taste wines that he has personally selected. Learn about the wine tasting process and enjoy the differences between his selection of reds and whites.

Then, seven members of the audience (who enter their names) will be randomly selected to share a story in 5 minutes that relates to the theme of wine or whine. See what we did there?

But, you don’t have to be a storyteller in order to attend the event!  You will have loads of fun listening, sipping your wine, and just being part of this shared experience.  Maureen Connolly-Hersh will be our MC, leading the festivities and overseeing the judging and prizes for the storytellers.

Fee: $25 for WWA members, $30 for all others
