Artistic Vision
The artistic vision of West Windsor Arts Council puts forth a focus on cultural diversity, maintaining high professional standards, and offering multi-disciplinary arts programs. In addition, in response to the overwhelming changes of the pandemic on our community, West Windsor Arts has created the following guiding statement to shape its work for the year to come:
Focusing on CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS with our diverse COMMUNITY to meet the CHALLENGES of our time through the ARTS.
In response to this statement, Whole World Arts will promote art that takes into consideration the impact on the planet and raises awareness about the environment. We will use sustainable studio practices wherever possible and will promote and encourage work that creates a vision for a more just and sustainable world.
As always, we will create opportunities for the community to engage with the creative and transformative force of the arts and bring diverse audiences together for healthy dialogue and learning in which we encourage conversations among many voices and perspectives. We will support the work of new and established artists with a focus on those based in New Jersey, but including a wider geographic range. Exhibitions and performances that inspire, promote art appreciation, and broaden, deepen, and diversify audiences across programs will be selected.

Starting with a selection of visual arts classes for both youth and adults, possible mediums include painting, drawing, textile and fiber arts, and printmaking. We would begin with offering 3 adult and 4 youth programs per week and 1 workshop for each age group per month. We will focus on using recycled materials whenever possible and exploring content related to the earth, sustainability, and supporting a diversity of perspectives and voices. Registration fees apply.
An opportunity for budding artists to drop in and experience hands-on activities without prior registration. Available during most open hours of operation. Parents must be present. A small donation will be requested.
Offer Art Kits and Art Kits for a Cause for sale to be completed on site, at home, or to be donated to a local charitable organization.
Hosting celebratory gatherings focused on creating art together. Examples include paint parties, craft parties, and more. For adults or children. Fees determined based on the size and duration of the party.
