West Windsor Arts is proud to present a summer concert series at Nassau Park Pavilion! First up are the funky jazz stylings of B.D. Lenz Trio.
Even if you’ve never heard of guitarist B.D. Lenz it’s very possible you’ve heard his music before – it’s been featured on hundreds of TV shows around the globe. He’s released twelve CDs of his unique brand of funky jazz that fuses virtuoso musicianship with expert songwriting. Joining B.D. will be James Rosocha (bass) and Joe Falcey (drums). Together, this trio will keep you surprised with their eclectic mix of jazz standards, original jams, and pop classics.
Opening the show will be eclectic, contemporary cellist Dan Kassel.
Emotionally provocative and layered in symphonic warmth, Dan Kassel’s solo cello music brings this classical instrument to new heights. Using an acoustic cello, a Boss RC-50 looping station and minimal effects, Dan bridges the gaps between Klezmer and Irish folk, Indian classical and down-tempo electronic music, levity and suspense. His ability to use technology to loop and layer his instrument into expansive tapestries of sound is impressive, but the element that really stands out is the cello’s deep and moving resonance.
Concert is located at the gazebo behind Panera Bread in Nassau Park Pavilion. “Doors” at 5pm. FREE AND FAMILY FRIENDLY!
