Come out for a fun and family-friendly afternoon of live music!
Opening the event will be Dan Kassel is a contemporary cellist based out of NJ who uses live looping and layering technology to weave tapestries of sound. His material has been described as funky, groovy, meditative, soulful and mesmerizing. He performs regularly throughout the Tri-State area for weddings, fine restaurants, fundraisers, festivals, small venues and more, and his music has been featured by WXPN, http://NJ.com/, and many independent blogs. Dan delights in sharing his eclectic sound with those looking for something meaningful and different. And to close out the live music we has Philadelphia-based Trinidadian-fusion group, Trinidelphia, fusing Trinidadian Soca and Calypso with Latin Jazz, Reggae, Salsa, and American top-40, they have developed a sound all their own. Their unique and rhythmic arrangements of jazz and popular songs cast the steelpan in fresh new light, pushing the stylistic and artistic boundaries of an often type-cast instrument.
This fun and FREE event will be held on our outdoor stage behind the Panera Bread at Nassau Park Pavilion. Rain date will be the following day, Sunday, July 26th. We hope to see you for a celebration of music, culture and diversity!
