West Windsor Arts encourages the development of other artist groups by creating invitational art shows. We invited the members of Art Alliance of Monmouth County to exhibit their work in our gallery. We are excited to offer this opportunity to their group of talented artists and to be able to share their work with our community.

Featuring art by: Maureen O’Shea Carroll, Jane Gavaghen, Eileen Kennedy, Francis Owens, Elaine Shor, Christopher Evan Taylor, and Monica Wolf.

Artist Eileen Kennedy: Eileen creates figurative, narrative paintings and drawings working in egg tempera, silver point, or watercolors. She earned a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and later continued her studies at the Art Students League. Her accolades include an Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts in 1995 and exhibitions of life-scale oil paintings and colored pencil drawings that were reviewed in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Newark Star Ledger, Asbury Park Press, The New York Times and other publications. In 2019, 8 of her paintings were included in Nature and Narrative at the Attleboro Fine Arts Museum in Massachusetts. In 2022 she was awarded another Artist Fellowship from the NJ State Council on the Arts and two of her paintings were selected for the Lunar Codex, a project that sent images of art from earth to the moon.   Artist Elaine Shor: Elaine studied fine art at Brooklyn College and has exhibited widely in New York and in New Jersey. Her preferred medium is oil paint, and her focus is on human interaction. Her paintings depict women’s capacity for both tenderness and strength. They reflect the embodiment of those dualities with strong female figures within masculine environments. The figures exemplify the power and energy that is unique to women. Ms. Shor holds a master’s degree in art therapy from New York University and is presently the president of the Art Alliance of Monmouth County
