MarketFair Kids Club Presents: Summer Art Club

About this event
Enjoy STEAM inspired art projects led by West Windsor Arts Center talented teaching artists. Participants will create dynamic and tactile projects each week. Projects are suitable for ages 9-14 with weekly Tuesday classes July 12 – August 16 ,10am-11am. Each class is $23/child (supplies included). Spots are limited.
July 12 – Optical Illusion Paper Turner – Choose your colors, design your patterns and create an optical illusion spinner to mystify and entertain!
July 19 – Coffee Filter Diffusion Art – Create and learn about diffusion and solubility by making coffee filter prints. Then…create an upcycled flower bouquet!
July 26 – Sculpture Creatures – Love to sculpt? Create your own creature or monster! Use model magic to transform an ordinary pencil with extraordinary shapes, animals & characters, or better yet turn them into finger puppets!
August 2 – Zentangle Cards – Learn about the popular art form of zentangle! Blend art, geometry and patterning to make beautiful art!
August 9 – Watercolor & Salt Mountain Landscape – Explore the chemical reactions between watercolor and salt. This art project has a science twist that will both excite and delight! Participants will create an aurora borealis landscape painting.
August 16 – Watercolor Resist Koi Fish – Create a watercolor koi fish pond that explores a popular art practice…watercolor resist! See how wax affects the movement of pigment in water.
Participants should be accompanied by an adult. Please enter through MarketFair’s main entrance located by the clock tower and TGIFriday’s then follow signs.
