Special plans for Dec 10 and 11:
Madelaine Shellaby and Ilene Dube have organized a group of artists who will be donating 100% of their sales to the Ukraine Fundraising Project. Money from these sales will go to Direct Relief International, a non-profit organization that provides medical and humanitarian relief to all people, regardless of political beliefs, and specifically to the people (women, children and refugees) of Ukraine. More information can be found: Direct Relief International.
Artists for Ukraine will talk about why they have chosen to donate their work.
These 12 artists will be giving 100% of their sale to support of Ukraine through Direct Relief International: Tasha Branham, Anne Elliott, Susan Hockaday, Eileen Hohmuth-Lemonick, James Jansma, Shirley Kern, Joy Kreves, Marsha Levin-Rojer, Ryan Lilienthal, Madelaine Shellaby, Emily Vickers, and Andrew Wilkinson. Stop in throughout the day to meet them and learn more about how you can help support Ukraine.
Organizers Ilene Dube and Madelaine Shellaby will be present to greet you and talk about the Ukraine Fundraising Project.
Samplings of Ukrainian pastries will be available by donation, also in support of Ukraine.
At 2 p.m on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Irena Gobernik will present a puppet making demo and workshop.
Irena grew up in Kazakhstan, and has been carving wood since she was 16. Later, she studied puppetry in Prague, known for its puppet shows and puppet making workshops. Irena will demonstrate her puppets and show a short video.
