Family-friendly fun and activities
raindate Aug 14
After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Bronwyn Bird and Justin Nawn founded the Birdhouse Center for the Arts in Lambertville, NJ. Bronwyn specializes in playing the nyckelharpa, a Scandinavian bowed instrument with 16-strings. Justin plays hearty 6 and 12 string guitar accompaniment. They work as a husband and wife duo who love to craft performances that feature Swedish, Appalachian, old-time, and bluegrass music. With a hands-on musical approach that encourages children to touch, play and explore a variety of instruments, Bronwyn and Justin purposefully tailor rhythmic-based activities, group singing and interactive dance movements to support social and musical development for the whole family.
Bring your kids along! There are a lot of art activities scheduled for everyone to participate in. This includes; Pendulum Painting, Squeegee Painting, Coffee Filter Tie Dye Butterflies (left), Pipe Cleaner Sculpture (center), and Lego Printmaking (right).
