[sin ‘Thedik] Landscape is a survey exhibition of American artists focused on the creation of new synthetic nature that is a by-product of daring artistic endeavors and new technological advancements.

Artists in this exhibition continue a century-long tradition of creating allusions to nature, with a lineage referring to the traditional landscape painting. Yet, our current landscape has been deformed by the new digital space that enters the physical environment, in some cases replacing it. The physical manifestation of the work is an outcome of a newly accessible technology melting the virtual, augmented, and physical worlds. In this exhibition, nature becomes a product that is altered by artists, digested by machinery, and synthesized in a new living substance.

Support for this program is provided by NRG Energy.
