The West Windsor Arts Council (WWAC) strives to make the arts accessible for all people with different abilities and needs. WWAC is fully committed to ensuring that accessibility guidelines and requirements as set forth by the federal government and state of New Jersey are implemented.
The West Windsor Arts Center was designed to provide ease of access to the lobby, gallery, and studio through use of ramps and an elevator. The loft area, utilized for some meetings and classes, is not wheelchair accessible.
Through programming, design, and service, we continue to reach out and provide assistance and appropriate accommodation. WWAC trains its staff in order to encourage sensitive and effective communication and service to members of the community with different needs. WWAC encourages members of the public to discuss with us their needs so we can make a plan to accommodate them. Upon request, and with 2 weeks notice, specific accommodations will be made subject to our available resources.
The West Windsor Arts Council makes every effort to accommodate the needs of individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities for all its programs and activities as well as at its administrative office. WWAC is also committed to exercising best practice and outreach in regards to employing persons with disabilities, both in artistic and administrative/operational areas.
WWAC regularly reviews its policies and procedures to adapt, accommodate, and address any issues or problems that might arise in regard to ADA compliance and will regularly assess its progress in achieving full compliance.
