After careful consideration of state guidelines and internal resources, the staff and board of the West Windsor Arts Council have decided that we will not be offering in-person camps for our community this summer.
Summer arts camps at the West Windsor Arts Center are all about connection, exploration, and creativity. Each summer our campers create with abandon! They sing and weave and build and play. Our focus, to encourage and nurture, would not co-exist with the vigilance needed to maintain distance and hygiene. We simply did not feel we would be offering the quality experience that our campers deserve under the necessary guidelines for maintaining healthy campers, staff, and community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To our camp families both new and old, we hope that you will understand this decision, and that we will see you as part of our online camps program, which features the same great teachers you know and love in an interactive, diverse, and stimulating design. We will be monitoring the situation and seeking other opportunities to bring the community together safely to experience the joy of the arts.
