Arts for Team Building

Get out of a rut and bring your team to the next level with a guided workshop in our creative space.

Steve Jobs noted in a February 1996 article in Wired:

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people. Unfortunately, that’s too rare a commodity. A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.

Art creates a bonding experience that facilitates collaboration and accelerates the ability get to the heart of a problem.

Art-based activities can be used strategically to create safety, build trust, find shared values, and shift perceptions. Combining right-brain imagination with left-brain logic and analysis increases the capacity for breakthrough ideas and insights that lead to success.

The goal of these team-building workshops is to create immersive learning experiences using artistic processes to help people gain new insights and perspectives about business challenges. We use the arts as a pathway to explore non-art topics such as leadership and management in business. Art forms include painting, sculpting, theatre improv, storytelling, poetry, and movement.

Meetings can include a catered lunch, art activity, and gallery tour. Contact us to schedule your next off-site meeting and team building activity.
