Blank Canvas Gala and Art Auction 2020

 

A Special COVID-19 Update

Due to concerns for the health of our community,
we’re moving the Blank Canvas art auction 100% online

After careful consideration due to growing concerns about COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the Blank Canvas Gala next Saturday, March 21. But as a small, nonprofit organization, we need your support. The annual gala is a major source of funding for this beloved local resource. Therefore, the art auction will go on!

You don’t have to leave home to bid on your favorite pieces of art from this invitational art show. We invite you to join us online for your chance to purchase amazing works of art while supporting the arts center.

The Blank Canvas Art Auction showcases original works created by some of the region’s most talented artists, who were each given a 12” x 12” blank canvas on which to create a new work of art. Each work of art, ranging from realism to postmodernism, and using all mediums including fabric, photography, acrylic paint, and found materials, will be offered for sale.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO PURCHASE A TICKET TO SUPPORT THE ARTS!

  • Anyone can sign-in and bid on the items in the auction
  • Bidding will begin at noon on March 13, 2020
  • Online Auction Closes on March 21 at 8:30 p.m.
  • Auction includes Work by Youth Artists – these funds will support WWAC’s scholarship fund
  • Artist-Made Centerpieces will also be available for bidding
  • Don’t miss our “Fund-a-Need” options
We encourage you to take a moment for yourself, pour a glass of wine, and join us virtually!

This year we are also proud to honor Heidi Kleinman and Ted Ross for their enormous and continuing contribution to West Windsor Arts Council, which has been central to the organization’s success and an inspiration to our community. No matter if the event is held or not, they are truly special to us and we thank them for their many years of support!

Proceeds from the Blank Canvas Gala and Art Auction will support the WWAC’s education programs benefiting young children, teens and adults, as well as multidisciplinary arts programming for the community often offered free of charge.

The works of the Blank Canvas artists are on display in the exhibition gallery. A preview of all the works is also available online HERE.

Purchases will only be possible during the silent auction starting at noon March 13 and ending at 8:30 p.m. on March 21, 2020.
