Party Activity Descriptions
Painting (ages 7 to adult) – Working from your chosen theme, participants will create their own 8 x 10 painting on canvas. Teaching Artist gives step-by-step instructions so everyone succeeds.
Storybook Art (children ages 3-8) – Read a favorite story together and create art based on that story using watercolor resist techniques. Artwork is mounted on backing and ready for framing.
Circus Arts (ages 7 to adult) – Engage your inner adventurer and join the circus for an afternoon! Everyone will have a great time with hoops, juggling, basic acrobatics, and creative movement to fun music.
Paper Crafts (ages 7 and up) – Make your own unique item using carefully selected materials. Choose a flower in a pot, kite, or a car with wheels and axles.
Capoeira (ages 5 to adult) – Party the Brazilian way! Capoeira combines dance, marital arts, gymnastics and live music. It’s perfect for a party where kids can take turns playing instruments, learning new moves, and singing together. Everyone can get involved!
Drumming (ages 7 to adult) – This is a great party for an active group. Learn hand drumming as you play rhythms and practice connecting to the beat of the drum.
Sculpt your Own Miniatures (ages 4 to adult) – Sculpt miniature creatures, plants, or animals based on the party theme. Works can be taken home and dry in a few days.
Acting Improvisation (ages 5 to adult) – An adventure through your imagination as you and your friends play theater games with a theater professional. There will be lots of pretending, moving, shaking, noise-making, and laughing. Watch your guests as they act out in the best way.
