In Foundations Artscape, students will explore a wide range of art mediums in order to expose students to a variety of art making skills. The National Endowment for the Arts research has shown that children who get early arts enrichment education do profoundly better academically, socially and civically. Children exposed to arts at a young age have a greater chance of becoming creative and innovative thinkers in later years. The ArtScape curriculum introduces preschool, kindergarten, and first-grade artists to different media like drawing, painting, and sculpture projects to build skills with exposure to a wide range of techniques, all balanced with imaginative art-making. On the first day of class parents are welcome to sit in the class with their child. New projects and subjects will be explored, so both new and continuing students are welcome. *This class is a part of our Certificate in Fine Arts Program and will give each student one point towards their CiFA certification.
