The 7th annual MLK Day of Service on Monday January 20, 2025 was an inspiring day as over 100 volunteers showed up to help package donations for our neighbors in need.
In partnership with Latoya Edwards of the African American Parents Support Group of WWP, we spread the word starting in December 2024 for the need for volunteers as well as donations. Volunteer sign ups were particularly popular this year as we filled all spots by January 6th.
Projects focused on the needs of clients utilizing the services of 7 different agencies. The generosity of our community in meeting their requests was evidence of its care and compassion.
Volunteers came ready to work and were happy to do it surrounded by the thought provoking and beautiful artwork from the Manifesting Beloved Community exhibition.
