Join us for our 2 week fashion design camp as we draw, sew, and create our own clothing and accessories! Students will explore and create a variety of projects, including making our own fashion shirts, sewing accessories like purses and handbags, creating fashion drawings and paintings for real life clothing inspiration, making miniature doll clothing, and so much more! Students will increase their knowledge about fashion by diving into the fashion industry and learning about everything from the beginning phase of creating a fashion figure sketch to pricing clothing and accessories for distributors.

About the Teaching Artist

Lisa received a BFA in Fashion Design and Illustration in Brooklyn at Pratt Institute. Her first job out of college was creating and styling windows display for Macy’s NY. After Leaving Macy’s, she started a business in fashion design and created many fashion illustrations for publications such as WWD, DNR, Vogue as well as many design and fabric companies such as Cotton Inc., Speedo, Abercrombie & Fitch.

Lisa is currently a Visiting Associate Professor at Pratt Institute and was previously an Adjunct at Parsons School of Design within the Fashion Design Departments. After relocating to NJ she started teaching at Philadelphia University and working as Program Coordinator and Senior Adjunct Professor in the Fashion Department at Rowan College at Burlington County. Lisa has an extensive knowledge in teaching Textiles, History of Fashion Design, and Fashion Illustration. She has created many fashion workshops for teens and youth interested in fashion. Lisa is the author of “Beginners Guide to Sketching the Fashion Figure”, published by Fairchild Bloomsbury
