In art studio practices, you will build your drawing, painting and sculpting skills by learning and improving on technique, vocabulary, and experimenting with the different tools of an artist. We will explore hues, tones, shading, and light sources with techniques like scribbling, cross-hatching, and stippling to create depth and draw realistic subjects by perfecting every feature with our art skills. This class will explore tradition studio practices, such as still life studies, figure drawing, and painting from reference. We will also experiment with air dry clay and sculpture. New projects will be completed, so new and continuing students are welcome! *This class is a part of our Certificate in Fine Arts Program and will give each student one point towards their CiFA certification.
