In these ballet classes, your child will continue to work on coordination and control of their body’s movements through stretching and basic ballet technique. As your child gets older, their bodies grow and their coordination improves. We will focus more on vocabulary and variations to the basics of ballet. Through fun games, prompts, and ballet music, your child will enhance their foundation in dance. A demonstration for families and friends will be held during the last class of the session. Primary Ballet provides young children with play-based creative explorations in dance technique following the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. Each class incorporates a progression of movement activities. Children will bend, balance, stretch, spin, and leap through a series of ballet-based combinations led by a fully-certified teaching artist from Princeton Dance and Theater Studio. New and continuing students welcome! In partnership with Princeton Dance and Theater.

All of our classes combine the highest standards in dancer training with principles of child development to
  • Build strong and healthy foundations for dance
  • Share the idea of dance as a mode of expression
  • Inspire joy for movement and music
  • Explore artistic creativity and imagination

*This class is a part of our Certificate in Fine Arts Program and will give each student one point towards their CiFA certification.
