Chinese Brush Painting Workshop

This Workshop is held at Whole World Arts in MarketFair Mall. Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy is an art form with thousands of years of history and is still widely used today. This class will show you how to paint in a Chinese brush style, while also incorporating bold calligraphy by using a kit that consists of a traditional ink brush, paint, and rice paper.

Materials fee of $5 to be paid to the teaching artist at the start of the workshop.

Adults are now required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test taken within 2 days of the in-person event or class. Classes, workshops, and events held in all spaces at the art center and Whole World Arts utilize an HVAC system supplemented with portable HEPA filtration systems. Classes and event seating are spaced appropriately to allow 3 – 6 ft. of social distancing. Acrylic barriers are utilized, as needed. Mask wearing is strongly encouraged for all adults, and required for all youth classes. All our staff and Teaching Artists have been vaccinated. High-touch surfaces are wiped down regularly using certified cleaning agents. Hand sanitizer is available in all spaces. Youth visual arts classes have their own sanitized art supplies to be used.
