En.J.inn Arts

Join us for a performance by Trevor that takes place inside an interactive hybrid installation using recomposed classical pieces, new music of different genres, exploring them in a new context, all in the gallery at West Windsor Arts. The show will feature musical guests beaming virtually in from all over the world to perform with Trevor. Guests to feature Grammy nominees, and musicians from groups that perform with Madonna, Jon Batiste, Philip Glass, Katy Perry, Midori, and more, all connecting through a hybrid interactive system called “Cohere Touch”.

This show is an all ages, family friendly, event including storytelling and audience participation. Audience members will be invited to read words into a mic that will become part of the final piece. Trevor has a way of playing everything back in a way that sounds like a crowd of nice words.

Guests will also be invited to make a tribute celebrating a Father, Single-Parent, or Family-Member which will be incorporated into the final piece of the night as an audio-visual collage celebrating family and played through the Cohere Touch system. Specific information will be sent to registered guests regarding this.

Bio:
Trevor New is a composer, classically trained Violist, and technologist that explores many contexts through music, visuals, and storytelling. His current projects are focused on exploring how we are connected, how we can make music and together, in-person or not, and how these connections can affect the time and space we see as separate. Apart from writing for orchestra and smaller ensembles his work as a sound designer, engineer/producer, and performer can be found in a variety of media, including film scores, arranging, electronic music, TV. In a Timeout New York review of a recent production of the play “Your Hair Looked Great” his music was described as “Smartly Scored”. Trevor designs performances playing his viola and using Ableton Live for looping and effects, and real-time synchronized multi-location networked performances with people around the world.

Trevor is a local resident from Hunters Glen, doing a STEAM week each year in the school system. He also works and performs in Princeton semi-regularly, as well as in New York City and  around the country. Trevor has been able to connect with people around the world for different projects.

Highlights for Trevor from last year were working with Madonna, Katy Perry, Jon Batiste, the American Composers Orchestra, the New School, University of Tennessee, and more. He is continually working on various events and venues, performing and running productions as well.
