Year 225 Plein Air Contest

As part of West Windsor’s 225th birthday celebrations occurring throughout 2022, the Historical Society of West Windsor and the West Windsor Arts Council have teamed up to host a “Year 225” Plein Air Contest! Artists are invited to choose from a select list of historic West Windsor sites to paint on site the weekend of September 17 – 18. Artists may complete and submit up to two paintings which will be juried for awards on Sunday, September 18.  

​The first-place winner will receive a $500 Purchase Award sponsored by the Historical Society of West Windsor, and their work will become part of the Historical Society’s permanent collection. Cash prizes of $100 (second place) and $50 (third place) will also be awarded. All paintings entered will be photographed and proudly displayed on the Historical Society’s and West Windsor Arts Council’s social media platforms and websites.

Pre-registration is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. You will be asked whether you are “purchasing” 1 or 2 entries (both amounts are $20) and will also be required to input your full name, address, phone number, and email address before finalizing your order.
