The snow came swirling down that morning, but that didn’t stop our tenacious crew from building excitement for spring! With color and creativity the gala committee realized its vision to transform the art center into the setting for a Holi-themed event with flowers, fabrics, a decorated bicycle, dance floor, creative corner, color room, and so much more. With beautiful art adorning the walls we certainly had a good “palette” to work with!

During the event we had so much fun reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones. The selfie backdrop was a beautiful place to capture the moment, as was the dance floor and the GR8 Works wall! As we grooved to DJ Dee’s tunes, Uma Kapoor and dancers from Nach Nation got everyone in the Holi spirit. Our hosts, Sashi Sreekanth and Mikel Cirkus worked the room and spoke with guests and artists, sharing the event with our home participants. And, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the delicious foods provided by Masala Clan! The tasty treats provided just the right note on a different type of palette!

We’d like to thank our volunteers, sponsors, donors, and staff for sharing this exciting event with us and making it a special night to remember! Together we raised over $15,000 to support the arts and education programs of West Windsor Arts. Thank you to our gala planning committee and volunteers: Jyotika Bahree, Kristen Breedlove Oberlin, Eileen Cardone, Mikel Cirkus, Maureen Connolly, Rick Engel, Vishnu Enjapoori, Elane Gutterman, Uma Kapoor, Chris Mittendorf, Aarti Nathan, Shefali Shah Chong, Hema Shankar, Sashi Sreekanth, Elyse Warren.
